Do you teach or work with children aged 9-13 as a teacher, youth worker or headteacher?
Would you like to take part in an exciting FREE nationwide project that brings children’s memories of the COVID-19 pandemic to life through performance?
Download our memory-collecting lesson resources and contribute to the creation of a historic musical and archive for the National Education Museum.

In Summer 2026 and 2027, thousands of children across the UK will be taking centre stage to share their own stories of the COVID-19 pandemic, not just of loss, but of courage, creativity, humour and resilience. Pandemic Superheroes invites schools to help shape a brand-new musical production, based on children’s lived experiences and voices.
Joining this project means that your school, youth club or youth theatre will:
- Take part in an inspiring memory-gathering project (taking about one hour) and a short optional homework project, using free resources provided,
- Contribute to the creation of a unique play that will be performed by children nationwide,
- Perform the (30-45 minute) production at schools and youth theatres across the UK in summer 2026 using the free script, music and performance licenses,
- Have these memories and performances form part of an archival resource at the National Education Museum.
